Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Settle. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Settle is operated in Australia.

What Settle is

Settle is a tool that helps you recover your own overdue invoices in your business's voice, and set up payment plans through our payments provider. Settle is not a debt collection agency and does not provide legal, financial or tax advice. You remain responsible for your relationships with your customers.

Your responsibilities

• You confirm you are authorised to contact the customers you add — including by text message to the mobile numbers you provide — about legitimate account and payment matters, and that those details were lawfully obtained.
• You provide accurate invoice and contact details, and keep them up to date.
• You use Settle only for lawful recovery of genuine debts owed to your business.
• You review and approve messages where your supervision level requires it, and you decide when to turn live sending on.

What Settle will never do

Regardless of your settings, Settle will not threaten legal action, always identifies itself to your customers as an AI assistant, always pauses for hardship or a dispute, and honours a customer's request to stop. These guardrails are built in.

Payments

Payment plans and direct debits are processed by Pinch. Your use of payment features is also subject to Pinch's terms, and you are responsible for the Pinch account you connect. Settle does not store customer bank details.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Settle available and accurate, but the service is provided on an "as is" basis while in early access, and features may change. We may update these terms; if we make material changes we will let you know.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Settle is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
